Eligibility for ILR for ILR dependent

Hi all ,
kindly guide in this regards .
Currently my Wife is on ILR Dependent Visa but my current status will change to British citizenship in coming days and now I have to apply for Visa extension through Family Visas as a Spouse .

I'm not sure if I choose British citizenship dependent instead of ILR dependent in the application does her continuity of stay is affected to be eligible for ILR ( which indeed requires 5 years on same category )

As I' m aware if change the application the long stay continuity is broken and count start from zero . Bit confused which option to select .

What visa type you had when were granted ILR?

ILR or British dependant visa don't exist, your wife should be dependant on your previous leave e.g. skilled worker, etc. For renewal she can maintain her current dependant status, no need to switch to a spouse visa.

ILR dependent visa exist and British citizen , it comes under https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/partner-spouse . I'm on ILR will have naturalisation before her visa expiries . but not sure if choose british citizen as option while filling up the form . it would break her five year route continuity since she actually come to uk as ILR dependent

It is exactly the same visa category for spouse of ilr holder or British spouse. Not sure what exactly you are confused about.

If you hold only ilr, that is what you put in rhe form. If you are already British and have attended your ceremony, then that is what you put in the form.

Yeah agreed , it just my concern was if I changed the option from ILR to British citizen then does it affect her ILR eligibility though applied through same category application .
As previously she came as ILR dependent .

so your saying it would be a problem on her ILR application and it wouldn't break her five year continuity even i changed the option to British citizen

There is NO such visa category as "ILR Dependent" and never has been a visa by this name.

If you held ILR when she applied for her visa, it is a spouse visa. That is all, whether you are British or only hold ILR, it is a spouse visa.

Knew its a spouse visa , it just the option one select while filling the form online .
