Tier 2 Dependent Visa expiring 20 days before ILR eligibility

Post by sirahdoosam » Tue Oct 15, 2024 4:21 pm

hi,
My partner details as follows
VISA issuance date is 12/2/20
BRP issuance is 19/2/20
BRP expiry 27 Dec 24
I am applying ILR via 5 year route this month.
Can my partner apply ILR on 27 Dec 24 and finger prints on 16 Jan 25 (i.e. 28 days from VISA issuance date) so when application is picked up partner would have completed 60 months or if partner needs to expend the visa for 20 days and then apply for ILR.
thanks in advance

Employment GAP of less than 60 days in Tier 2 visa

Post by sirahdoosam » Tue Oct 15, 2024 5:02 pm

hi, I am applying for ILR after completing 5 years on tier 2 visa however there was GAP of less than 60 days between 2 employments on tier 2 visa i.e. last day of my employment with previous employer was 18 Nov 21 and start of my new employment was 5 Jan 22. Can this effect my ILR application or do i need to explain this in my application ? I never received any letter from home office re termination of my previous employment.

This is not an issue. Nothing needed to be explained. Don't overthink the process!!

Please stick to this post and do NOT create new posts. Tier 2 route does not exist, it has been the skilled worker route for a few years. The 60 days limit rule was removed many years ago
