Approval letter 04/10/2024

Post by Bomoyi123 » Fri Oct 04, 2024 7:08 pm

Hi so I applied on the 16 th of January, evetting done and disclosure viewed in May. Everyone got their approval letters today except me.
I know a lot of people have been waiting longer. My application is straightforward as can be I have been living here since 1997 at the age of 2 .

When do I contact them about the application? Can I? Will that piss them off?

Thanks

I personally know someone who was supposed to receive it today (all vettings done long ago) but didn’t. So you are not alone.

And I also know someone who was supposed to receive the letter in July (previous batch) but only got it today. So chances are you’ll receive it with the next batch.

Lastly, there’s a slight chance of postage delay ;)

Hi thanks for your reply.

I am hoping it is just in the post and I will receive it next week but if not I'll be patient, I really should of done this years ago 🤣🤣 I was practically raised in Ireland all my life.

Yeah, if not this batch hopefully the next one before the ceremony in December fingers 🤞🏾.

You just have to wait. There's no obligation for department to naturalize anyone, as it stands.

Wouldn't it mean they have wayyy more to check, compared to someone who was in Ireland for 5 years?
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Hi,

I understand this but I did already have the evetting done and the disclosure has been viewed. It was the lawyer who said they will just look at the last five years as they didn't request anymore documents.

I also know it's at the Irish states discretion on who they naturalise.

Thanks

Someone asked me about the PSNI DAT1 submission in the Timeline thread, which was deleted for the obvious reason of being off-topic.

Anyway, I uploaded the letter in the portal as an additional document and then resubmitted the application. I didn't post anything.
I received a confirmation of receipt within a day or two, and then just today received my letter of approval.

So no, it isn't necessary to post anything in. Just make sure once you upload your additional documents (the DAT1), you actually submit/resubmit your application.

did anyone in this group get invitations to the INEC ceremony?
I don't drive and live in Dublin, so I would really like to go to the ceremony here even if it means waiting a little more......
