Tier 1 dependents visa extension

Post by Camel555 » Thu Nov 21, 2024 9:18 am

I am ILR holder under tier 1 entrepreneur 200k route, my family got their first dependent visa before i got my ILR, with the help of mods here, i understand that my family members will apply under Set O?

Can anyone please guide me to the right guidance and rules for this route?
PLease share the link for right visa application

Please help me with my following points:

There are no financial requirements for extension under this route for my family members?
I dont see any documents requirements, is this correct?

I filed a dummy application, one of the questions says when did you start living at this address? My problem is, my family after entreing UK left and now we are planning to live permanentlhy in the UK in next 3-4 months, visa is expiring in JAN 25, how shoud i answer this question. Should i mention in the cover letter that we left and didnt stay in uk for long period in last 2 years? or no need fo this?

Set O is a form for ILR and not for a visa extension.

Are the dependents applying for the extension in the uk?

Sir thanks , one question that is tricky for me is this in the application for child:

Time spent outside the UK

Since you started living in the UK have you spent time outside the UK?
(Required)
Do not include holidays of 2 weeks or less. Include any periods of time you have spent on the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey.

My situation is: My family came ot uk on this dependent visa and then left after a month or so and then they did not entre again, we will be in UK and will applu for renewal

how should i answer this question? should i mention exact days that we have spent in the UK and exact absences: whihc will be a lots of them as dependents only lives for 45 days or so

do you think it can have a negative eggect on visa that they were not there for so long

and does the criminal certificate requirement gets re activated due to one year spent outside uk?

Provide minimal info. There are no absence limits for an extension. Criminal certificate requirement only applies to entry clearance applications

apologies for asking questions,

Application first asks how much time have you spent in the UK, then asks date when you entred and left
and finally asks how much time spent outside uk, date exiting uk and date entreing uk with 'Describe reasons why you stayed outside uk (for more than 2 weeks absences)

do you think making a cover letter and explaining that my dependents could not live in the uk on 1st leave due to personal reasons and now we intent to start living here is a good idea?

or should just answer these questions and not worry about how will these answers be perceived by the cw

it also asks for school name address etc, which is in Pak as thats where they go to school at the moment

it asks for UK address, which i gave, then asks ' is this where you live? but again if we are showing maximum time spent outside uk then if i answer yes to this question, do you not think it could be a conflict?

I do not see any issues. The absences from the UK are not relevant to an extension at all. Not sure why are you so concerned

Hi Zimba, thnaks for your help, i am submitting my dependents' application today and i get your comment above about non relevance of absences under this category

there is a question: World travel history
Have you been to any other countries in the past 10 years?
(Required)
Do not include visits to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland or the European Economic Area.

Now as most time was spent outside uk in Pak, should i answer yes to this question? and then give dates n entry and exit? pls help

and then consequently, the answer to the question#;

How long have you lived in the UK?

should the answer be 2 months ( actual living time) or 1 year 6 months ( visa duration time)

This should be based on the length of your issued visa, NOT the length of your actual presence in the UK. There is no maintenance requirement in your case
