Further info required: Letter from GP

Post by aoidin » Wed Dec 04, 2024 12:37 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm an EU citizen who applied for an Irish citizenship back in July. I just got a request for further information and they got back to me requesting a letter from GP for years 2019 - 2023. The problem is that I only registered with a GP in 2021 (wasn't really sick prior to that :)).
So now I'm stressing out a bit - should I give them a call and explain the situation? Has anyone went through a similar situation?
I'm able to provide my dentist visits from 2019, should I mention it to them - maybe they'll accept it instead of GP ones?

Thank you!

Try submitting an affidavit explaining the situation. Pls see the below link and the affidavit in the pdf file for details

I did submit an affidavit initially. Should I submit another one?

I'm an EU citizen, so my passport isn't stamped and I've no IRP card. I guess I'll need to contact dept of justice directly. Thanks!

APologies for overlooking your EU status.

reach out to DOJ via email or submit an affidavit with the clear explanation. Iam sure it would be accepted
