Visit Visa for Brother and his wife

Good day Everyone,

I have a question about UK Visit Visa for my brother and his wife.

My brother and his wife are living in the Republic of Ireland. My brother visited UK many times on visit visa from Ireland so he has a good history but his wife has not yet.

They both want to visit UK in March/April 2025 to meet family. However, their Irish Resident Permits are expiring and due to be renewed in June 2025. This means their Irish Permits do not have a 6 months validity from the date when they will apply for UK visit visa and when they will visit UK.

Can this be a problem? for them to get a UK visit visas?

Re question - I canoot recall if there is/what is the minimum validity for IRPs when applying. If they will apply in advance and get their visas - minimum validity is 6 months usually (unless they apply for longer).

Re another account - I did not know I had another account, this must have been really old or forgotten password, something. I just logged back in auto did not know the account details.

Another account is banned then.

I wouldn't expect an issue if it is a reasonable amount of time left between their IRP expiration dates and travel date, ie 5 months. But if they apply in April, let's say, with a month of validity, that could cause issues.

Ideally they should apply around now.
