RESIDENCY PROOF DOCUMENTS FOR IRISH CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION

Post by bizq07 » Thu Jan 09, 2025 1:08 am

Hello everyone,

I am at the beginning stage of applying for my Irish citizenship. I just want to ask for advice from those of you who have knowledge or experience with residency proof documents.

I have my documents nearly complete, except that I am stuck in this situation where I can't provide any documents for the first year of my application. I am starting with the year 2019, but I wasn't employed, have no ban account, and have no bills to my name in that year, meaning I can't fulfil the 150 points for this said year since I can't provide any document for Residency Proofs Type A and Type B. The only Residency Proofs I have but not listed on the online guide are letters sent from the government.

Is it possible to just submit the Residential Proofs Affidavit explaining my case and include a letter from the government as proof of residence?

Apologies for the long read. Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

i would wait for 1 more year and submit with all the proofs. As you didnt have the proof for the 1st year, play safe by waiting for 1 more year.

if you wish to take risk, you can go ahead by submitting a affidavit. you can get it certified from a peace commissioner and submit with a detailed letter.

its upto you.good luck
