Query on Name's

Post by walldorfian » Fri Jan 09, 2009 12:48 pm

Guys,

This is regarding the Tier 1 General Application from India.

I have submitted my docs to the Bangalore VFS Centre. So, this query may be redundant!! :(.

My name as in Passport is ABC Pxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx.

My name as in Payslip1 is X Y ABC.
My name as in Bank1 is ABC X Y.

My name as in Payslip2 is ABC Xxxxxx Yxxxxxxxx.
My name as in Bank2 is ABC X Y.

My name as in Degree Cert is ABC X Y
Maintenance Fund Certificate ABC X Y.

Should I worry ? :).

Thanks in Advance.

Can you a bit more clear for us tounderstand the query better..this is a bit confusing..just chuck off the x'ss . What i gather is that there are 3 parts to your name...why dont you name each part A, B, and C and then show the arragement for abeter undersatnding.

Not really.. See this post. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewforum.php?f=2

Submit either the letter from Entry clearance officer or a notarized affidavit while your application is still under process. The affidavit can be had faster.. I got mine in under 2 hours !! Just take all the originals in case the notary officer asks.. Don't worry about the wordings... you can change it as per your requirement..

in my case, i have already submitted the documents.
can i submit a document once my application has generated a reference number?
My advice:

I dont think you should any more time...go and get the notarized copy of the name confusion letter :-) and send it to BHC.

Even I was in the same situation wherein I got an email reply from the Entry Clearence Manager which solves my issues with the name. I will apply on Jan 16th or 19th :-).

Hey Jedi001, which email id did you send the email to when you wrote to the entry clearance officer?

Send it directly to BHC. VFS would not accept it. BHC's address can be found on their website. You might want to mark it to the VISA/Entry Clearance Officer (PBS Tier-1 (General); Ref : (Your VAF no.); Date of Application submission; VFS (Del/Bombay/Ch/Cal as applicable)

There are many things to this apart from a notarised copy.
Carefully observe what your payslip contains.

Things like employee code, bank account number to which the salary is credited etc.

The two diffrent payslips may have different names but the employee code (if that exists in your company) and the salaried account number mentioned on these two cannot change . Highlight this to the assessing officer. This has to be done mainly because:

1. Nowehere in the policy guidelines have they mentioned anything about a notarised copy. It might be a very strong document in India but not necessarily , the case worker has to validate that. I have seen soe examples in this forum where people have complained that inspite of submitting the notarised copy, their case being rejected oon this basis.

2 On a more logical ground, do you really think it is that much of a difficult task getting an affidavit and they go through the verification precess so strongly. This can be done in half an hour .

Mention these documents are attested by the employer further proving your case.If this can be done, this will prove a very strong point to the assesing officer.

I had written to Chennai BHC. They said, no documents will be accepted after the submission in VFS.

This means, I cannot send the Affidavit to them.

Hence, logically.. these are my queries.
1> how they can disprove that the document does not belong to me? :)

2> Has there been a single case where name expansion has created problems in Tier 1?.

Bank A/C Number on Payslip = TRUE
PAN Number on Payslip = TRUE
PAN Number on SARAL = TRUE

Bank A/C Number on Payslip = TRUE
PAN Number on Payslip = TRUE
PAN Number on SARAL = TRUE

Absolutely,

Logically they cannot disprove that the documents are not yours if the Bank A/C number is there on the payslip and also matches with the bank statement (this being that the name on the payslip and the bank statement differ ), then both the documents belong to one and the same person.

But we might need to mention this on the cover letter. One more thing is, you could e-mail the BHC regarding this analogy .

Legally you guys and your line of thought might be correct but please understand that the onus of proving that everything is in order lies with the applicant and not the caseworker and unfortunately it does not apply the other way round.
