Hi Everyone,

My timeline for ILR SET (P) has been as follows:

1. Applied on the 7th of June 2024
2. Biometrics on the 20rd of June. Included a child dependent born in the UK
3. HO confirmation Email and estimated date for decision 21th of June, estimated decision 09/12/2024.
4. Decision --- Pending

i can see most people has received their decisions on and around 4 months mark. is there anyone else here who has been waiting for almost 6 months? my deadline is only 3 days away and still no news from HO.

Hello good people, I’m about to apply for my ILR with 3 dependants. I’ve taken the time to go through the many posts and would like to thank you all for sharing your experiences which are immensely helpful to those of us who are now going through this difficult and stressful process.

While it’s helpful to hear from those who were successful, it’s also good to hear from those with refusals as well to know the reasons.

For now, does anyone know the average time that HO is taking to make decisions? Thanks 🙏

Hi NNNAJIM,
What’s the status of your application? Any update to share?

Hello, I am due to apply for ILR next week. Anyone who applied recently and has nay tips?
Also, when you verify your biometrics/fingerprints via the home office app, do you still need to book an appointment to provide the required documents or you can also upload that via the app?

You’ll receive an email telling to book for biometrics if you need to. I have to do biometrics as I applied with 2 kids. Maybe if you are applying as an individual you only need to verify on the app. As for tips, you can check the country guidance of HO to see if it has not been updated to say your country is now safe.

Did you provide or were you requested to provide any particular documents? I've read on this forum that people are providing bank statements, copy of Home Office travel doc, etc

Yes, I was asked to upload travel documents and any expired passports. You will be told the documents to provide after you submit your application. There’s no need for bank statements as your refugee status is not going to be decided on whether you have a job or not.

Praise be to God for receiving the good news today that my settlement application has been successfully. It’s the greatest relief given the anxiety while waiting.

Set (P) timeline
Application: 20 December 2024
Biometric: 24 December 2024
HO acknowledgement email: 18 January 2025
HO Atlas Approval email: 15 February 2025.

Total waiting time: close to 2 months.

To all those waiting, I wish you all the best and the strength to cope with the stress and anxiety. All the best.
