Working in UK for 5 years as skilled worker (sponsored) as Pakistani national. I applied for child benefit (assuming i was eligible) after my kid turned 3 have been recieving it for a year. I wasn't getting for his first 3 years.
When looking for ILR requirements I found that I can't take any public fund including child benefit. I am panicking atm. I wouldn't have taken anything if I had any idea this effects ILR.
My benefit application should have been refused if I was not elgible.
What can I do now? What are my options?
Can I cancel it and return what I have recieved?
Will that make me eligble for ILR?
