UK Visit Visa questions

Post by DSVJUK » Wed Apr 30, 2025 1:55 pm

Hi folks,

I am planning to apply for visit visa for my mom aged 55 to visit me for 20 days in the UK.

Her circumstances: Age 55 and a widow She doesn’t work now but act as a director for a company and gets monthly £85 as fee for that She own a house, another land and gold back in the home country(solicitor asset valuation documents available) She has got fixed deposits in 2 banks worth £25k GBP all together (documents ready to submit) - she receives interest for this and sometimes cash withdraw it and deposit to saving account mentioned below. She has got a savings account (in a third bank) for her day to day usage in which she has got a balance of £2500 remaining.

My questions are:

I plan to apply as employment status as Retired for her as she is retired from her work. Is that ok?

Do I need to add the interest and directors fees as additional income section or mark it in extra information area?

In the savings section, do I need to add full £25k + £2500 or just the £2500 from savings account she uses daily

In family in the UK section do I need to add my wife’s, son’s details etc or is it enough to add mine alone?

Can I use extra information section to specify anything about the application or do I need her to write a cover letter?

I will be sponsoring her trip and she will be staying at mine for the full duration.

Thanks in advance buddies!

Do I need to add the interest and directors fees as additional income section or mark it in extra information area? You can add it anywhere, everything gets looked at.

In the savings section, do I need to add full £25k + £2500 or just the £2500 from savings account she uses daily Add both if she has them in her name and available to her.

In family in the UK section do I need to add my wife’s, son’s details etc or is it enough to add mine alone? Just you.

Can I use extra information section to specify anything about the application or do I need her to write a cover letter? Yes you can

I will be sponsoring her trip and she will be staying at mine for the full duration. a letter to that effect would be expected.

Thanks in advance buddies!
