dependant visa for mother in law

Post by hmm » Wed Jan 14, 2009 1:23 pm

We want to bring our mother in law here permanently. she is 62 and lives on her own. Can she apply for dependant visa to come over?

Even though we support her financially we cannot prove it as we send the money through relatives, friends, etc when they go over there. i.e no bank transactions to show.

The other issue is her age. I know it'd be easier if she is over 65... is it ok to apply at 62? has any one done that and what's your experience?

Any advise would be welcome.

There are more of course. Use the search feature at the top of this page and try terms like parent, parents, dependent, dependant, SET(F) and other relevant terms you find in the three threads above. You could aslo use Google in the form site:immigrationboards.com "term"
