There is no gap
No!!Thanks for your response. In my case there were 8 days where I don't have valid UK VISA (between 11-Jan-2017 t0 19-Jan-2017). Doesn't it break the continuous residence ?
Different routes have different forms. If you apply for long residence on form SET LR, that is what is processed. Not sure why you think it will be considered as something else. However, I'm going to apply ILR based on 10years Appendix Long Residency (ICT Short term 1 year + ICT Long Term 5 Years + Skilled Worker 4 years).
In this case, my ILR won't be classed as "ILR as a Skilled Worker" even though last visa was skilled worker(for 4 years), right ?
No, they CAN continue on their existing visa route. Note sure where you got the idea that they cannot. As per the articles, dependents cannot extend under skilled worker dependents once I get ILR based on 10 years route.
They do NOT need to switch visa categories!!!Also, I've read that if they switch to Family Visa as dependants settled person (based on my ILR), their ILR clock reset to 5 years again irrespective of the 8.5 years that they already spent in UK.
Does it mean, they can apply visa as skilled worker dependant before expiry of their current visas on 25-Feb-2026 even though I'm switching to ILR based on 10 years long appendix route ?As per the articles, dependents cannot extend under skilled worker dependents once I get ILR based on 10 years route.

Apologies, I'm confused, I will be applying for ILR on 02nd Jan 2025 (28days before) as I will be completing 10years but my dependants neither completing 5 years as skilled worker dependants nor 10 years, how can they apply for ILR at at same time as me ?You can all apply for ILR at the same time, you will apply under the long residence SET(LR) and they apply under the skilled worker dependant route SET(O). Their application will be kept, until yours is decided.

Those who are required to complete a qualifying period must have spent a continuous period of 5 years in the UK with permission as a dependent partner of the lead applicant. Dependant partner can include time as a spouse on family routes.
