ILR application and expired IELTS

Post by cherrystrawberry777 » Sat Jul 05, 2025 8:23 pm

Hi everyone,

I took my IELTS test at an approved test center in Moscow and achieved a B1 level. I have already used this test for my initial spouse visa and its extension. Now, I’m preparing to apply for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) in November.

My question is:
Can I use the same IELTS B1 certificate again for my ILR application, given that the test was taken in Moscow? Also, are there any restrictions or additional requirements for IELTS tests taken in Russia due to the recent suspension of test sessions? This test centre is still on the approved test centre list on gov.uk but marked as “temporary closed”.

I’d really appreciate any guidance or experiences you could share. Thank you!
