Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of applying for a UK spouse visa for my wife. I meet the financial requirement, but I’m a bit unsure about how to best approach the accommodation aspect, so I’d really appreciate some advice.
At the moment, I’m living in an HMO (House with Multiple Occupants). My tenancy agreement states that the room is for single occupancy only, and I’m not sure if the landlord would allow my wife to stay with me. If I decide to use this address, would I need to provide a letter from the landlord confirming they have no objection to my wife joining me, along with a copy of the tenancy agreement? Has anyone had experience with this kind of situation?
Alternatively, a close friend of mine owns a 3-bedroom house and lives there with his wife. He’s offered to let me and my wife stay with them once she arrives. Would it be acceptable to use his address for the visa application, along with a letter of support and permission from him?
Which option is safer or more advisable in the eyes of UKVI?
Thanks in advance for your help!
