Hi Zimba,

Thanks for the response!!

I was reading the article and found one of the update/response that "the date of the first visa issue should be used." does it mean the valid from date shown on my wife's and daughter's passports is the date I need to count 5 years from that date? If so she has 18-Aug-2020 that means she will be eligible for ILR by 17-Aug-2025, right?

If that's the case then shall I submit my wife's and daughter's application now today and get the next available biometric date as that will be still under 28 days of eligibility, right?

This is how it works

1. You will assume a date of ILR decision (this can be the date of your biometrics if applying for priority service)
2. You then subtract (5 years - 28 days) from that date. So counting backwards
3. This new date should be on or after the date of first visa approval.

In your case, they are already eligible for ILR. So apply now
