Salary requirements for ILR application

Post by zhd » Fri Jan 03, 2025 4:26 pm

Hi everyone,

I am preparing my ILR application Set(M), which is due in October 2025. I entered the Tier 2 visa in November 2020 with the occupation code 2114.

I changed my employer at the end of 2022, and my occupation code was 2135 (IT business analysts). It looks like the Home Office has recently updated the occupation codes, and the current code for 'IT business analysts' is 2133.

I am confused about the salary/financial requirements for the Skilled Worker route, as there are 'Standard going rate' and 'Lower going rate' options.

Could anyone let me know what the salary requirements are for my ILR application? Will it be minimum general salary £38,700 per year? It looks like standard going rate for IT business analysts (2133) is £51,700

Topic moved to the correct sub forum.
ILR application Set(M)
Do you mean Set (O)?? Set M would be the wrong form.

Hi CR001,

Sincere apologies. Yes, you are correct. I'll be applying Set (O). I believe Set (M) is for dependent.

No, Set O for skilled worker dependents applying for ILR

Set M is for a completely different visa category with different rules.

ILR eligibility timeline

Post by zhd » Sat Aug 02, 2025 3:07 pm

I want to understand my eligibility timeline for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). I entered the UK in 22 March 2014 as a student (PhD) dependent. I switched my PBS Dependent visa to a Skilled Worker visa in 04 November 2020 (visa approved date). I will complete my five years on the Skilled Worker visa in 04 November 2025. Will I be eligible to apply for ILR 28 days before that date (which is 07 October 2025)?
