Questions in MN1 registration and British passport

Hi All,

I just wanted to plan ahead, so I applied for MN1 for my daughter and gave biometrics today. With the current timelines, I believe it could take 2–3 months. Assuming it takes 3 months, that means I might get the registration certificate by beginning of November. I've a travel to Indian planned for mid December.

So I had a few questions regarding next steps:

1. Do I need to surrender the Indian passport before applying for the British passport? Or can I apply for the British passport first and surrender later?

2. Do I need to surrender the Indian passport if I want to apply for an Indian visa for her? Has anyone done this before?

3. Once registration is approved, what happens to her Indian passport and BRP? Can she still travel on those for a short time (like the 3-month grace period I read about for surrendering Indian passports), or do they become invalid straight away?

2. Do I need to surrender the Indian passport if I want to apply for an Indian visa for her? Has anyone done this before? No need to surrender your indian passport, if you want to get visa

3. Once registration is approved, what happens to her Indian passport and BRP? Can she still travel on those for a short time (like the 3-month grace period I read about for surrendering Indian passports), or do they become invalid straight away?You need to surrender your BRP card within 5 days after getting you naturalization certificate
