i wonder why the question at passport stage - naturalization has already been granted and there are no residency requirements post naturalization.
There has been at least one case on these forums where, after naturalisation, the newly naturalised citizen traveled abroad and applied for a first British passport from abroad and HMPO then escalated the case back to the Home Office to inquire if the person had indeed met the future intentions requirement of naturalisation or if the naturalisation was issued in error.

While that may not be the case for a minor, HMPO may review the application and escalate to the Home Office just to double-check that the certificate was not issued in error.

HMPO asked for additional residency proof for a minor in the application. We provided the proof and it was ok but i wonder why the question at passport stage - naturalization has already been granted and there are no residency requirements post naturalization.
Hi, hope the passport application of your child was successful. Any update on that? Can you please quote what kind of proof of address you were asked to provide?

Can reply in private on the questions. The process was taking too long and I had to take up an offer for work abroad. So she (minor) has the citizenship (naturalization certificate) but not the UK passport. We will leave it at that because she has another EU passport and i assume if she wants to go back to study or work - she can apply then.

The settled status is still shown as valid in system - but she has the citizenship - so for UK visits should she get an ETA, use settled status or is she obliged to show citizenship certificate at border everytime...short visits, not living in UK anymore.

She is not eligible for an ETA as she is British. You should try to secure a passport next time you visit the UK.
