ILR based on 10 years Private life route

Post by Damares » Sun Sep 21, 2025 8:03 am

I am writing to seek your guidance regarding my application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) under the 10-year family/private life route as a parent. Here is a summary of my situation:

In October 2014, I submitted an FLR(O) application to the Home Office.

On 12 January 2015, I was granted leave under the 10-year parent route, which I have since extended three times using the FLR(FP) form.

My last extension was in 2023, which granted me a visa valid until July 7, 2026.

As of 12 January 2025, I have completed 10 years on the 10-year route. I would like to know if I must wait until July 2026 to apply for ILR, or if I can submit my application anytime now, since I have already completed the 10-year qualifying period.

Family route, private life route and the long residence route are three SEPARATE routes to ILR. Do NOT mix them up. :!:

You already qualify for ILR.

Apply here under the 10-year family route: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... t-relative
