Hi All,
I m planning to apply ILR soon through tier 2/skilled worker route, however I m confused in calculating my earliest eligibility.
My first BRP issue date was 4/11/2020.
Visa sticker date was 17/11/2020.
Physical entry was 23/11/2020.
I m not sure which date to use to count for the earliest application If choose brp date then I can apply from 06/10/2025 considering the 28 days period (please correct of wrong).
Or should I use the visa or physical entry date-28 days to apply.
Please guide.
Many thanks.

Brp date is the one you use.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Thankyou for the advice, the confusion is that my first decision letter also states the same date i.e 17 nov and states you have permission to enter as tier 2 skilled worker from 17 nov, however again the brp date is 4 nov!. so this is really confusing, how come official documents have different dates.

Hi All, I havd asked the same question before but I m very confused due to ongoing immigration changes regarding ilr. I want to apply ilr ASAP but also dont want to waste money if applied too early.
my timeline is as follow
I submitted my first tier 2 application from my home country in oct 2020. Decision letter date 27/oct however the vignette date and the wording states that you have visa from17/11. Then comes my brp date which was 4/11, I came here on 23/11.
What is the best date to use minus 28 day period.
Many thanks.

First of all do NOT start new posts and stick to this topic for all your questions
There are no ongoing changes to ILR and nothing has changed.
Your earliest date of
ILR eligibility is 4/11/2020 + 5 years - 28 days.
However, you may
apply earlier and benefit from the date of decision.
Make sure to read -->
All you need to know about applying early, the application date, 28-day concession and more

Hi, I was about to fill in the application. I understand that brp date is the one to calculate the time. On the application the question is when did you first entered the Uk ( this is the date you entered the UK when period of stay you are basing the application started on). Do they meant actual arrival date or i can use the brp one here as well?

This has been answered many many times before. That question on the form has no relevance to the qualifying period calculation. This is NOT a trick question, answer what is asked which is the date you entered the UK.
