I’m currently on a Skilled Worker Visa, and I’m applying for a dependant visa for my newborn son (born in the UK).
In the online application, there’s a question about proof of funds that’s confusing me. As far as I understand, my son is technically the “main applicant” in this case. Since my employer has already certified maintenance on my CoS, I don’t think I need to provide a bank statement — but I’m planning to include one anyway just to be safe.
The issue is: if I select “Yes” for using third-party support, it asks for a signed declaration from the “applicant,” which doesn’t really make sense for a newborn.
Has anyone else gone through this situation or knows how to handle it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
