Dependent have right to work

Post by sarwarge » Tue Nov 11, 2025 2:02 pm

I need advice from honourable members or immigration lawyers.
I came to the UK on the Sole Representative route as an overseas business representative.
My visa extension was refused, and the administrative review was also refused.
I then applied for a Skilled Worker visa, which has been pending for approximately one year.
All applications were submitted on time.
Can my dependant work while the Skilled Worker visa application is still pending?
Please advise.

Presumably your dependents visas also expired when your last visa did. If so, you are all overstayers once admin review was refused and therefore have no right to work or free NHS etc.

It is very unusual for a Skilled Worker visa to take this long. Have you follow up with the sponsoring employer?
