Citizenship documents to send?

Post by Monserrat » Wed Nov 26, 2025 10:39 am

Hello everyone,

Please can someone help me please. I am wondering if i need to send documents going back 5 years as I am applying to naturalise to a British citizen using the AN form based on my 5 years partner route which I got the settlement visa for early this month. I applied super priority and I got it the following day. Now I am making a citizenship application.

The form is asking for payslips and p60 from my employer. How many months payslips do I need? And also for my letters etc do they all need to be saying back 5 years because that is what the indefinite leave to remain was based on?

A bit of background.

I came here as a child in 2004, after my parents students visa ran out. After a few refused applications FLR O at the time, I was granted a visa based on British husband and child in 2018. We switched to the 5 year partner route and I finally got a settlement visa early this month! Thanks to all the advice from experiences and members here🙏.

Many thanks

All you need (as an ILR holder) is your passport(s) covering the residency period for naturalisation.
The application requires a minimum of documents. Naturalisation is not a continuation of ILR, it's not an immigration application.
Also, all documents are uploaded, not sent in original. No P60, payslips or letters.

NOTE: there are no priority options for AN. UKVI advises a processing target of 6 months, many applications are approved faster than that, some take longer. You also have to wait for the citizenship ceremony, after that you are a British citizen, then apply for your passport which is much faster at that stage.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
