First Passport - Stupid Question!

Post by robert147258369 » Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:23 pm

Hi everyone!

Probably a really stupid question....

After receiving your certificate for the Foreign Birth Register (via my Irish born grandparent, but myself and my parents born in the UK).....do you apply online for the Passport, or do you have to do it on paper?

Thank you in advance!

Faster online by a country mile. Check the web site - it walks you through the process. You will have to send documents by registered post after completing the form on-line and they return them later. Target time seems to be 4 working weeks after receipt of your documents which they seem to beat regularly.
