Hi everyone, I’m trying to work out my earliest safe ILR application date and would really appreciate views from anyone with a similar timeline, especially around the Covid concession.
My situation:
* I was in the UK as a **Tier 4 dependant**
* I switched **in-country** to **Skilled Worker main applicant**
* My **biometrics appointment booking / payment date** was **24 April 2021 (With the employer i was working with at that point)** — I’m treating this as my application date because that is when I paid for my application and my family’s applications
* My actual **biometrics appointment** was **21 May 2021**
* My Skilled Worker was **approved from 28 May 2021**
* My **husband and daughter** were dependants on my application and their **approval date was 1 June 2021**
Because this was during the *Covid concession* period, I’m trying to understand whether my 5-year ILR clock can be counted from **24 April 2021** rather than **28 May 2021**.
If yes, would my earliest safe ILR application date be **27 March 2026** (28 days before 24 April 2026)?
Also, given the current immigration situation and possible settlement changes, would it be sensible to apply for **me and my husband first**, and then apply for **my daughter after approval**, just so I don’t risk losing a lot of money if something goes wrong (Like they say it doesn't apply to dependents?) I know dependants often get approved too, but I’m anxious because this is a big application.
Has anyone had:
* A similar **student dependant to Skilled Worker** switch during Covid?
* ILR counted from **application/payment date** rather than approval date?
* Main applicant approved along with dependents using Covid Concession.
Any experiences would really help.
