ILR 28-day concession

Post by Haribo1 » Sat Mar 28, 2026 10:53 am

Hello,

I have read the guide written by Zimba and understand that my earliest ILR eligibility date = my visa start date + 5 years - 28days.

I am considering to apply ILR before fee increase in April and delay my biometrics until my eligibility day.

My question is, if my ILR is refused because the case worker isn't exercising the "28-day concession". Is there any ground for me to summit AR? I am asking this because "28-day concession" isn't any part of immigration rule nor written in any case worker guidance.

Thank you.

They always apply this concession. You do not need to worry about this. If you follow the advice, then you do not need to worry

All you need to know about applying early, the application date, 28-day concession and more
