Dear Lolo,

Thank you for your response.

I based my application on the date of decision in the letter I received originally during Skilled worker visa.

Exact same dates and calculation, recalculated and revaluated by Zimba too. All required documents submitted.

Now they are saying they are basing my application, on the date of vignette 5th July 2021, not on date of decision on letter, not on BRP issued date, not on arrival date.

For refund, I will enquire further and see, but I would expect the decision to be made within 5 days from 7th June 2026, with revised employment letter they have asked and do exactly what they have asked to do, i.e hold application for now. I am feeling very frustrated and sad, but now I cannot do anything and waiting for positive response.

Appreciate all your responses and help, I will come back in June and update the thread.

Many Thanks

On this forum we always recommend using the BRP issue date to be on the safe side provided this is the immigration document that usually has the most beneficial date, and the applications always proceed with no issues. This was also confirmed by zimba in December.

I did a new reading to the entire post and at some point you started mixing up dates and calculations citing something you saw from "few people in other groups".

Thankfully UKVI didn't refuse your application and has put the application on hold until you're eligible.

You can ask for a refund of the priority fee but it's highly unlikely you'll be given any refund. This situation is not UKVI's fault.

Dear Lolo,

Thank you for reading full post and replies.

Yes, I did asked the advise on revised date, because the immigration advisor gave me that advise and asked me to apply on date of decision and that's the reason I wanted the confirmation from this board. My original post was based on proper dates as per my knowledge.

Lesson Learned: Not always immigration advisor who are experienced, trained and qualified, provide exact information and advise.

I am thankful, that UKVI gave me the option to put application on hold , as it seems genuine mistake. I will see about the refund if provided, but now just wait and go back to qualified immigration advisor and provide them with this information, so that it helps other applicant. I hope my experience becomes valuable information for ILR aspirants through this posts.

Thanks

You kept changing the date. I simply corrected your calculation above but I advised you to use the date of the earliest document you have. But again, UKVI often will not refuse an early application so all is good. Just sit and wait it out
