Skilled visa - extention main and Dependent

I would like to seek your advice regarding my visa extension. My current visa (3 years) is valid until 30 January 2027, and my dependants’ visas are aligned to the same date.

My concern is that I am unsure whether the extension CoS will be issued for three years or two years. Would it be possible to request a two-year extension from the employer? or by default extention issued for 3 years? I would appreciate your guidance on this.

Additionally, I have a query regarding our BRP. BRP expired on 31 December 2024. When I attempted to complete the application and selected the option indicating that the BRP had expired over 18 months ago, the system did not redirect me for BRP validation or scanning.

In this case, is it mandatory to attend a biometric appointment? Could you please clarify whether any alternative options are available?

I also have a query regarding the English language requirement. When I initially submitted my application, I used my IELTS certificate as proof of English proficiency. However, the certificate has now expired. Could you please confirm whether it's required to submit a new IELTS certificate for the extension application?

Yes, the employer can issue a CoS of any length for a maximum of 5 years.

Yes, you must provide biometrics after the application is submitted.
