Child Referee - Query

Hi All

I am in the process of applying British Citizenship/Naturalisation for my daughter (10 Year old). I have 2 referees for her . One is family friend. Another one is a professional referee. Having a query on the Professional referee. Her Maths private Tutor is Ok to provide reference. However they know my daughter only for 2 years. Will this be sufficient? Do I need to provide a cover letter explaining this and add an additional referee who is already added as a referee in adult application. Please can someone advise. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. She has been teaching in primary school for 20 years. But not currently working in any primary school. But currently working as a Private Maths tutor now.

They have their tutoring website etc.

Will this be fine or do I need to add cover letter explaining this ?

Unless she is a qualified teacher I am not sure she qualifies, as private tutors are not an accepted profession.

Thank you for your response. She confirmed that she was working as a primary school teacher in UK for 20 years but currently not working as teacher. However as like all primary school teachers she has been registered with professional body in UK.

My second referee is an IT professional who is also my referee as well.

Can I use my IT professional referee as first referee and Tutor as second referee. Explain this to HO in cover letter?

OR shall I just use my 2 adult referees for my daughter and explain the same in cover letter to HO?

Yes, both options you suggested are fine, just explain they know the child either as a tutor or as a family friend. It is well known to the HO that it's difficult to find a referee that professionally knows the child.
