ILR for Myself and dependents

Post by anusha412 » Tue May 26, 2026 2:04 pm

I would appreciate your advice regarding ILR eligibility for myself and my dependants.
I am currently on a Skilled Worker visa, which expires on 15 August 2026, and I intend to apply for ILR based on 5 years in the Skilled Worker route. I switched from the Tier 2 ICT route to the Skilled Worker route in 2021.
My wife and son have been living with me continuously in the UK since 2018. They were PBS/Tier 2 ICT dependants from 2018 to 2022. They did not switch to Skilled Worker dependant visas when I switched in 2021 because their existing ICT dependant visas remained valid until 2022. They subsequently applied for Skilled Worker dependant visas before their ICT dependant leave expired and have held Skilled Worker dependant status since 2022.
Could you please advise:
Whether the ICT/PBS dependant period can be combined with the Skilled Worker dependant period towards the 5-year qualifying period for ILR.
Whether remaining on valid ICT dependant visas until expiry creates any issue for their ILR eligibility.
Whether my wife and son would be eligible to apply for ILR when I apply.
The earliest ILR eligibility date for me, my wife and my son.
Please advise on the next steps

The route of the dependant visa does not matter. You both qualify together
