ILR Set O Query

Post by Hanz93 » Tue May 26, 2026 12:33 pm

Hello everyone,

I am due to apply for my ILR set O (Skilled worker route) on the 1st of June. The thing is, my April salary was a bit delayed and landed in my account on the 5th of May, and my May salary will land on the 29th of May, this Friday. So I'll be using my May payslip and bank statement for my application.

Is it Ok if my bank statement shows 2 salaries? My May salary was increased by 250£ a month.

I'll of course submit the most recent payslip dated 26 May 2026 which will match the May salary.

ILR set O payslip and bank statement

Post by Hanz93 » Tue May 26, 2026 8:03 pm

I just received my payslip today, 26 May, but on the top it says 31 May 2026. Now, I'll get paid on the 29th May. And I'll apply for my ILR set O on the 1st of June. Will this be an issue that the date on my payslip is 31 May and I am paid on 29th May?

Employer Letter - Set O

Post by Hanz93 » Fri May 29, 2026 3:23 pm

Hello all,

Has anyone recently got their ILR set O approved after submiting an employer letter which only states the nearest SOC code, salary, still needed for the job and confirmation that the salary meets the threshold without mentioning the job title.

My employer only mentioned the 4 above points and did NOT mention the job title at all. Even though it is confusing as my job duties fall under 2134, 2133, 2141 and 2139. So at the end, we chose 2139 as it is the nearest one.

Thanks,

Hi Zimba,

I checked the link and can't find what im looking for. Please just advise me as I'm already panicking. they just wrote (the nearest SOC code that best describes the employment in question is 2139).

Is this enough? Basically this is what the document checklist asks for as one of the letter's elements. Should elaborate more on the duties?

The thing is after updating the job codes from SOC 2010 to SOC 2020, some of the IT job titles are confusing and for me, it feels like my job comes under 3 different codes but we chose the nearest code where most of my core duties fall.

Is the above sentence regarding the job enough?

There is no requirement that such employer letter must be produced at all. This is unfortunately the legacy of the old Tier 2 General rules which the document checklist inaccurately still mentions. You can try to show me one place in the rules or the guide that such a letter is needed. The Tier 2 General route no longer exists and the rules have changed (it has been 6 years now !!) :!: :!:

You need to get help from your employer to figure out what SOC code is the correct one for your job title.
