Travel Advice for eVisa holders - Visit Visa

Post by Sue_w1 » Sat Jul 04, 2026 7:29 am

Hi,
I applied for a visit visa for UK from Dubai and received my eVisa notification earlier this month on my UKVI account. However, while my application was still processing, I have had to travel to Pakistan for some personal errands. I was able to do it because I had my passport, as is the new norm with eVisas.

Now that I am done with my errands and I have my eVisa to travel to UK, I am considering to fly directly from Pakistan instead of first traveling to Dubai then to UK. Is this something I can do?

Will this cause me any problems at immigration desk in the UK after arriving? I am worried if this can raise questions around "Why are you not traveling from the country you applied from". Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thanks for any help

You can fly in from the moon if you liked. The visa allows you to enter the UK, it doesn't restrict you to entering from a certain geographical location only.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Thanks for the answer.
I'll still update the thread on how it goes at the airport.
