Naturalisation after ILR (Long Residence) & Dependant Child Citizenship

Hi Experts,

I'm planning to apply for British naturalisation on 1 August, as I received my ILR on 31 July last year through the 10-year long residence route.

From the GOV.UK eligibility guidance, I understand that I must:
Have been physically present in the UK exactly 5 years before the Home Office receives my application.
Have spent no more than 450 days outside the UK during the last 5 years.
Have spent no more than 90 days outside the UK during the last 12 months before applying.

My questions are:
1. Do these residence and absence requirements apply exactly the same to people who obtained ILR through the 10-year long residence route, or are there any differences I should be aware of?

2. Is there anything else I should check before submitting my application that people commonly overlook?

3. My wife and child (born outside the UK) are currently here as my dependants. They will complete 5 years of residence in October under dependant visa.

If I apply for naturalisation on 1 August and use the priority/fast-track service (assuming I receive British citizenship by the end of August), would there be any advantage for my child? Specifically, once I become British, would my child be able to register as a British citizen without first obtaining ILR, or would my child still need to obtain ILR before becoming eligible?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has experience with the long residence route.

1. The same 5 year rules apply to everyone, regardless of your route to ILR.

2. It is not a difficult or complicated application. You either meet the requirements or you don't, that's it.

3. Your child born abroad needs ILR first. No advantage of you become British.

Note you are only British once you attend your ceremony, not when you receive approval.

There is no guarantee that you'd get citizenship by the end of August, we don't even know how reliably the priority service is for citizenship at the moment. That being said, as your child was born outside the UK and lived in the UK for less than 10 years, child must obtain ILR before they become eligible for registration.
