ILR Complex application questions

Post by talreh20 » Wed Aug 19, 2026 10:57 pm

Dear Moderators,

Asking on behalf of a friend. He is applying for his wife's ILR. He is a British national. When completing the form, he was asked if she or her husband has taken any benefits? to which he has answerd yes and then the form asks about benefits received, net salary received to which I am also confused as to why form is asking for net salaries.
Husband is disabled and get PIP and child benefit for two kids. She doesn;t get any benefits.

She has been working as an employee for 8 months earning £1,650 per month. but the form is asking for net and no where it asks for gross salary.

Is it correct? is he doing something wrong?

The form also did not ask for cohabitation documents either. He is really confused.

Does he need to add co habitation documents?

He needs to submit the application by Friday if you could kindly share your thoughts on this form.

When i completed my wife's application, my only question was do we get any of the below benefits to whcih i answered no and i was not asked any net salaries. Our form was simple and straight forward.

The visa form is NOT supposed to be treated like full disclosure. :!: :!:

The answers are often used to evaluate eligibility route. If the applicant answers that they are getting benefits in the finances section, the application form assumes they are relying on the adequate maintenance rather than the usual financial routes, under family route. This is important to pay attention to. Any answers on the finance section is used automatically to determine eligibility route :!:

Cohabitation evidence is always needed. The document list given at the end is NOT comprehensive or exhaustive either

All you need to know about cohabitation evidence
