Fiance is Under 21

Post by tina1984 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:44 am

The new age limit makes it difficult for alot of people! My fiance is 18 and a Uk citizen. I am 24 Usa citizen. Is there SOME WAY we could prove that we are doing this of our own free will? We have the support of both our families and friends. This is devastating and heartbreaking to those who are in this for the right reasons! Are there no exceptions to this new rule? Does anyone know where I could find out more info on this? Should we contact an Immigration Lawyer? Is there some way for us to be Legally Married in the Uk before 21? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

No way around it I'm afraid. Spending money on an Immigration advisor isn't going to help you. Only alternative would be to look into student or work visas...but for a student visa you're looking at REALLY big bucks. :(
