Spouse visa curtailment notice

Post by Ayezal » Wed Sep 09, 2026 6:28 pm

I was at Pakistan when I got notification that my spouse visa is curtailed to 60days as my relationship is not subsisting. I am here for last 3 weeks only. My partner was totally fine while talking with me since i am here but have blocked me from everywhere now. He did not want me to go but i had to due to the sickness of a close family member. Could i travel back to UK as I still have 55 days left?? Could i be refused an entry at the port? I have tried and i still could get my share code. I do not want to waste flight tickets if i get refused entry. However, i am not divorced yet and i think if i talk to him face to face, my marriage could be saved.

Your right to re-enter the UK on your spouse visa is no longer valid. If you were still living in the UK you would have the right to apply for another category of visa (within the 60 day window). This option isn't available as you are currently outside of the UK.
In my honest opinion, your best option would be to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa in Pakistan,if you meet the criteria and have a Home Office licensed sponsor to offer you employment.

See below the official guidance for Home Office Case Workers:

Ceasing to meet requirements of the rules
Paragraph SUI 29.1 of the Immigration Rules applies:

SUI 29.1. A person’s entry clearance or permission may be cancelled if they cease to meet the requirements of the rules under which the entry clearance or permission was granted.

Specific examples of an individual ceasing to meet the requirements of the rules are contained in the Part Suitability: Additional grounds for cancellation of entry clearance and permission.

For more information on the process to follow when an individual no longer meets the requirements of the rules because their relationship has broken down, see: Ceasing to meet rules requirements: relationship breakdown.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Thank you so much for a detailed reply. The letter states if an error is made there are 14 days to ask for reconsideration. Is it possible that if my husband states he made a mistake, it could be amended. Or is it possible that if we reconcile in few months time, i could get a new visa??
