applying hsmp extension

Post by krssubbu » Sat Jan 17, 2009 12:19 pm

Hi all,

I am submitting my application for hsmp extension tuesday. please please help me in my doubts. I have complied a few questions so that everyone can look at it.

I got my approval in Jan 2007. I have extension in jan 2009 (NOT covered by JR). i am in the UK.

1. which application form do we use ? is it Tier (1) general application form

2. do we type the form (looks like we cant as it is in pdf format OR do we fill it down with a pen (black / blue ink please)

3. I want to show my earnings from 1st Jan 2008 - 31st Dec 2008. But Jan 2008 payslip starts from 31st Dec 2007. (so basically 1 day overlap - 31st dec 2007 - 31st dec 2008). members have confirmed this is ok.
BUT DO I PUT IT AS 1st JAN 2008 - 31st DEC 2008 ON APPLICATION FORM or do i put as 31st dec 2007 - 31st dec 2008

4. My address for primary job details are different than the address mentioned on my part time job. That is because i have been working for my client where i did a part time job. So is it enough if explain this on covering letter and provide proof of my redirection letters from my mian address to temp address (NI number same on primary job and part time job payslips)

5. How many photos do i need to provide

6. In the application form (tier 1 general) - do i check tier 1 extension (which asks me to go though section c) OR do i check tier 1 switching (which asks me to go though section a) - But if i click on tier 1 switching it leads me to wrong questions.

7. Also do i need to provide reference for all my jobs. if so do i mention on covering letter or or application form

Thanks

HI krssubbu,
1. which application form do we use ? is it Tier (1) general application form
Use Tier-1 (General) application form.
2. do we type the form (looks like we cant as it is in pdf format OR do we fill it down with a pen (black / blue ink please)
Fill up form with a black pen.
5. How many photos do i need to provide
Two Photograps, in a sealed envelope with your name written on the back of each.
6. In the application form (tier 1 general) - do i check tier 1 extension (which asks me to go though section c) OR do i check tier 1 switching (which asks me to go though section a) - But if i click on tier 1 switching it leads me to wrong questions.
If you are in UK under HSMP and want to extend your stay as T1(G), Select extension of leave within Tier 1(General)
7. Also do i need to provide reference for all my jobs. if so do i mention on covering letter or or application form
I would use cover letter.

With regard to your third wuestion, believe that using 1st Jan to 31st December s fine, given that your bank statements cover that period (and one extra day too).

hi,

Thanks for your replies.

Just have a few doubts.

1. I want to show my earnings from 1st Jan 2008 - 31st Dec 2008. But Jan 2008 payslip starts from 31st Dec 2007. (so basically 1 day overlap - 31st dec 2007 - 31st dec 2008). members have confirmed this is ok.

BUT DO I PUT IT AS 1st JAN 2008 - 31st DEC 2008 ON APPLICATION FORM or do i put as 31st dec 2007 - 31st dec 2008

please confirm the above

2. do i need to submit phtots

3. Do i need to submit my initial approval letter also

I HAVE LISTED THE DOCUMENTS I AM GOING TO SEND WITH MY APPLICATION FORM FOR EXTENSION OF HSMP (NOT COVERED BY JR)

could you please check if everything is ok?

1. application form
2. covering letter
3. age - proof:passport
4. qualifications - proof: none (already sumitted for intial application. pls use that)
5. Previous earnings - proof: 12 months wage slips and 12 months bank statements
6. uk experience - proof: please use same proof as previous earnings
7. English lang roof: none, already submitted for initial applicaiton
8. Maintainence fund - proof: 3 months bank statements - same last 3 statements as used for previous earnings.

I am going to submit my documents on tuesday. please check if it ok and could someone please clear my above doubts as well. If everything is ok then i will take printout tomm and post on tuesday.

Thanks

My personal opinions are:

1) 01/01/2008 - 31/12/2008
2) Yes. 2 passport sized photos need to be submitted in line with the guidance.
3)Not necessarily, but I would submit it in any case.

Good Luck.

I believe so, assuming you are not required to provide any other evidence and that your evidence proves your claimed points. Good Luck!
