Hi All,
I filed my tier1 extension application.
- My bachelor degree was awarded in 2004. Name of the state where the university is based was 'Uttaranchal' at that time.
- I obtained the NARIC letter in 2006 confirming my degree is equivalent to British Bachelor degree. Name of the state was mentioned as "Uttaranchal".
- Applied for HSMP in dec 2006 and HSMP was approved.
- In 2007, name of the state has officially been changed to 'Uttarakhand' from 'Uttaranchal'.
- While applying for extension under tier-1 in Jan'09 I checked Online Points Based Calculator and name of the state was mentioned as 'Uttarakhand' (new name).
- With my extension application, I have provided my original certificate of award (name of the state in that award is the old one: Uttaranchal). I also enclosed letter from NARIC (name of state is old one: Uttaranchal).
If caseworkers looks at points based calculator, I guess he/she won't find that state.
I have not submitted any explaination for this.
In application form, for question S2, I have ticked "Qualification recognised on the points based calculator" and for Question S4, I have ticked "Evidence previously provided with the applicant’s initial HSMP application".
Question is: would I be rejected tier1 extension based on the fact that qualification is not recognized on points based calculator or NARIC letter is 3 years old?
Thanks a lot for your support!
