Please help me with this.

I will have to submit the passport and therefore will not be able to travel outside India. Therefore, is there a process where in I can ask the HO to expedite my application.

If any one is aware of this please help.

Will do that sunny_hsmp001. Thanks for the advise. One question...what proof can we give. I mean I can definitely explain in the email. but say if its some personal emergency..then?

Any idea what is the current processing time for vfs delhi. Any latest applicants.

you can write that in email--should be a valid reason

and you can attach the proof of correspondance which led you to know about this personal emergency e.g. emails and all that

write diplomatically in the email and attach valid and meaningful proof

i think they will treat your application urgently.
