Queries about filling form. Please help urgent

Post by UKaspirant2009 » Sat Feb 07, 2009 5:47 pm

Guys,. Thanx for the help on all the questions till now.

1) Appendix 1: 6.3 part - I want to enter mt IELTS result.

What will be the awarding body?
What is the "level of qualification"/?. Should I enter the band/score?
What is "award reference number"?

2) VAF9 form: last page or 7th page: Here we need to mention the documents we are submitting. e.g. the form gives passports and marriage certificates and also others. Should we mention all the document (about 17) in this form. (We will have to use an additional sheet)

3) At various occasions in both the forms. The text is going out of the box or space provided. I have taken a print out of all the forms and am filling them by hand. Please advice whether the text can flow outside the boxes as well.

Guys, please help....these are the final questions. Thanks alot.

No Idea about VAF9 as I am applying inside the UK. But your text should not flow outside the boxes. Use continuty sign (-) and continue your sentence on the next line.

Hope this helps.

Hey dextar. Thanks again for the reply. I am still worried about the 2 questions:

any senior member may be able to help. please look into this

The seventh page of the VAF-9 form asks you to check the boxes corresponding to the items you're sending, and the counts of other proofs. What I did was to simply categorise and list everything in the cover letter, pointing out which scoring area(s) each document was for, and also provide a separate points pro-forma indicating what documents applied to each scoring area. That makes things much clearer.

thanx z00ps00p,

I am writing everythign in a covering letter. two more question:

1) Is "separate points pro-forma' the self assesment test print out or is it something else. If it is something else, can u please explain and also give the template.

2) Also, did u fill the VAF9 and appendix 1 form by Hand. Cause if u fill it on the comp, then u cant enter all the information. And also did the text flow out of the boxes. Is that fine?

Thank you so much. Please help me...my appointment is next week.

It's completely up to you. In my case I created a three-column table with the first column being the scoring area, the second being the points claimed and the third being the documentary evidence provided to support the point claim.

Here is the old HSMP Points Pro-Forma that Transitional Tier 1 applicants have to use, and you could base yours on it.
2) Also, did u fill the VAF9 and appendix 1 form by Hand. Cause if u fill it on the comp, then u cant enter all the information. And also did the text flow out of the boxes. Is that fine?
I filled it using my computer and didn't have any trouble. In my case text did not flow out of the boxes.

If you're having trouble, you can just put in "Please refer to additional sheet" then place your responses on a plain sheet of paper attached to the form. These are processed by humans, not machine-processed, so I doubt you'd have any problems even if your responses spilled out of the provided boxes, although it's cleaner if you fill them using a computer and provide attachments for answers that won't fit.

I just specified that I am applying alone and my wife and child would join me later.

Just try to accomodate. If text flows out ,it will not cause harm.Just be sure that you specify all the details
