Marksheets of previous semesters

Post by bossvikas » Mon Feb 09, 2009 3:12 pm

Hi
Can anyone advise me as to whether I need to submit all my marksheets starting from Std 10 for a Tier 1 Application or is the Degree Certificate and Final Semester marksheet enough? I have done my Bachelors and am claiming points for it.

Thanks in advance
Vikas

If you have the original degree certificate, do you actually need any marksheets?

Not sure, because earlier during the days of HSMP, it was advised to send all marksheets. So just want to be sure.

Thanks

Semester marks sheets

Post by tier1seeker » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:40 pm

Hi,

it is sufficient to submit the degree certificate alone (a friend submitted only this and none of the other certificates, he got his visa approved).

when i had to mention the period of my degree course, there was a bit of confusion. I completed my engineering on may 30,2004. But the start date was not exactly june 1,2000. The college started 3 months late because of the usual delay in seat selection process etc. When told so, the officer at VFS suggested that i provide all 8 semester mark sheets so as to prove that my course was of 4 years duration. I have my visa approved.

So, its good if u can provide your 8 semester mark sheets, its not a problem if u just submit your degree certificate.

as far as ur 10th and 12th mark sheets are concerned, again its not mandatory. when submitting my applicaton i happened to have them with me, so when asked, i gave them. if you dont have them, its no problem.

regards.
