Bank statements, salary verification.

Post by slugmeister » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:54 pm

One of my employees who is Canadian has applied for Tier 1 within the UK. She is currently on a student visa. I recently applied for Tier 1 and had the visa granted. I was able to give her lots of guidance and assistance.

She listened to most of my advice but one thing she did not submit were ORIGINAL bank statements. For salary verification she submitted copies. She said that copies were the best that a she could get. The copies came from the bank. I do not believe that she got them stamped or signed.

She was not able to get a letter from the bank because she is no longer a customer there. :( She claims "as a back up" e.g. in case the bank doesn't accept her statements, that she has included a W2 as well as a letter from her employer verifying her salary.

I have a bad feeling that she will be rejected, but I don't want to be the one to give her the bad news.

Is there any hope for her?

If the statements from the Bank are in full colour and meet all the other requirments needed for bank statements, then I personally do not feel that this should be a huge obstacle.

Not having seen the statements myself, I don't know if they are colour or not.
