Applying for job while staying in home country

Post by loodk » Sun Oct 12, 2008 2:07 pm

Hi All,
I've just got HSMP approval and now looking for EC. Job market is slow in UK these days like the case is all over the world.
Are there people around who applied for job from their home country and then selected via telephone interviews? As many are suggesting to get a job before going to UK.
I visited UK two times last year officially and worked for a well known engineering company. At that time non-IT jobs were available and situation was very encouraging. One of my collegue is working there after HSMP and his feedback is still positive.

Further please mention some well known recruiters to help in job search, thanks.

Best to try for jobs through job sites. jOBSITE, CWJOBS, Reeds, thelondonjobs etc.. Worth to try in this current situation and time of year.
Ratio of success is 10:90% as compared to home:in-country respectively.
Good luck.
