Ways to apply for EC (in person or send appln. to B.Embsy)??

Hello all,

I recently got approval and I would like to apply for EC.

I read there are two ways you can apply for entry clearance (I want to apply from my own country - india).

1. In person - You can directly go to the embassy to appear interview
2. Application - You can send the application to British Embassy.

Can anyone tell me which one to go for? Which one is faster and better? I am confused actually.

go to churchgate get list of documents to be submited from UK VISA , apply and RELAX

so far as u r located in chennai there is no issue of thinkign what to do. You are lucky that u have an Ambessy or the office of the British Deputy High COmmissioner in your own city. You can look for VFS (Visa Facilitation Centre) if there is any in chennai, they can at elast advise you if there is somethgin missing in your application and give you the date for collecting your VISA stampled passport. THey send your Application to the ambessy on your behalf. If needed, they can tell you that you'll have to appear for the interview and will give you the appointment as well.

If you want to bypass this whole process you can directly go to the ambessy ro highcommissioner's office in Chennai and apply. They may call u back in the evening to collect your VISA.
