Spouse visa deferred

Post by siri_uk » Mon Feb 23, 2009 3:52 pm

Hi

My wife applied for a spouse visa from chennai to join me in the UK. The process has been going on now for 12 weeks. I spoke to my mp's secretary last week who told me that the visa had been deferred and she could not give me a reason. I called chennai today and told them I wanted to know why it had been deferred, she went for around five minutes then came back and told me that the biometrics were out of date and they had to send the home office in london for new ones. I cannot understand this, they took biometrics from her in 2007 when she came to visit me then again in november 2008 when we applied for the spouse visa. Are they giving me the correct information, or are they giving me the runaround? Does anyone have any infrmation on this?

Regards
