Can I do extension 3 months prior to my HSMPvisa expire date

Hi Friends,

Just want to ask you a very simple question as my HSMP first extension is due (visa expires in 20th December 2009 can I apply between 20th September to 27th September 2009? if yes then HO don't want any explanation for applying so early. the reason is I want to claim my age points.

one more thing to ask you regarding above matter the HSMP visa extension application decision time will be 3 to 6 weeks. let suppose visa extension granted in 3 to 6 weeks time the visa will be 3 years and the remaining period of 2+3 HSMP extension normally granted as per one time extension criteria then can apply for ILR or 1 month will be covered by another HSMP extension as per criteria on year of application, as I applied extension early and granted before my current visa expires ?

hope one can understand early extensions senarios.

yes you can apply 3 months in advance. There wont be any problem what so ever...i am 100% sure as I have practical expereince of it... 99% are the chances that you will be issued post dated visa starting from the expiry of your current visa..

just write in your application that you have some travel arrangement in next 3 months time therefore you are making little before time application.
