maintanence funds for dependents

Hi,

I got the Tier 1 visa in Nov 2008 and want to apply visa for my wife and kids. I have already shown the maintenance funds required for all of us when I applied for the visa.
1. Do I need to provide the proof for maintenance funds when I apply for my wife and kids again as I have already provided the proof with my application?
2. I have the funds but are in Fixed Deposits, If FDs are not allowed then I might need to break it and transfer it to savings account. Is there a solution other than this?
