Tier1 Approvd 2 mnths ago, Will new conditions affect me?

I am currently in UK on a student visa. I had applied for HSMP last year which was approved in December 2008. I'll switch my status from student visa to Tier1 next month (because currently I'm trying to maintain 800 pounds in my account). When I apply for Tier1 (switching) in April 2009, will the new proposed conditions of Tier1 affect me? Please note that I've already got approval letter (valid for 6 months) which says that 'Your hsmp application has been approved. if you are in UK, you should apply for switching your status from student to tier1 on the tier 1 application form'...

Can anyone answer this query urgently because if the new conditions are going to affect me, I might forward my tier 1 application in March.

Nobody knows for sure, mbasmart. HOWEVER, the general supposition is that people like yourselves should not be affected.

I don't think you will be affected adversely. In the worst scenario, you will be covered under transitional arrangements that HO devises for people in your situation. BUT these are my personal views - situation is very fluid now....
