Good immigration lawyer in London?

Post by chris_london » Fri Mar 06, 2009 7:59 am

Hi,

the Post Study Work visa of my partner (finished Masters degree in London last October) was rejected due to a formality. She used an outdated version of the application form which she downloaded mid November last year. A new version was put there a few days after the download. Her student visa expired whilst we were waiting for their reply, which came two days ago.

I called the Border Agency yesterday and they basically said that she should leave the country and start the application process all over again from the US. As there is a quite a lot on the line, I would like to discuss this matter with an expert.

Does anyone know a good but affordable immigration lawyer in London? The Law Society (http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/) maintains a list, but it is huge and our funds are limited - some lawyers charge exorbitant amounts.

Much appreciated.
